What Is Wegovy®?
Wegovy® is the FDA-approved brand-name version of semaglutide manufactured by Novo Nordisk, dosed at 2.4mg weekly (injection) or 25mg daily (pill). In the STEP 1 clinical trial, patients lost an average of 14.9% of body weight over 68 weeks, the strongest clinical efficacy data for any single-mechanism GLP-1 weight loss medication.
Wegovy® uses the same active ingredient as Ozempic® but is approved at a higher dose specifically for weight management. To compare against tirzepatide-based options or other delivery formats, explore all FDA-approved GLP-1 options including Ozempic®, Zepbound®, and Mounjaro®.

What’s Included With Wegovy®
Real clinical oversight from intake to maintenance. Every Wegovy® program includes provider-led titration, ongoing safety monitoring, and direct access to your medical team.

Dr. Ashar N.
Dr. Ashar holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice and two national board certifications, one in family practice and one in psychiatric mental health.
She founded Tactus Health to close the gap she watched her own family fall through: symptoms that were real, labs that came back normal, and no one willing to connect the two.
She is responsible for the protocols our medical team follows, and for the training of the clinicians who deliver them. Holding both certifications is why those protocols treat hormones, mood, sleep and metabolism as one system rather than five separate appointments.
Cost of Wegovy®
With new manufacturer savings programs and discount platforms now available, Wegovy® has become more accessible than ever, but choosing the right path still depends on your individual situation.
The lowest price isn’t always the best outcome. Choosing the right pathway, and using it correctly, is what drives long-term results.
Already have access to Wegovy®? Our providers can still oversee your treatment and help optimize your results.
Access to medication is only one part of the process. Using the correct dose, managing side effects, and staying consistent over time is what ultimately determines results.
Wegovy® FAQ
Same active ingredient (semaglutide), different FDA approvals and doses. Ozempic® is approved for type 2 diabetes at up to 2.0mg weekly. Wegovy® is approved for chronic weight management at the higher 2.4mg dose, which produces greater weight loss. Read more about Ozempic® for weight loss.
Both forms are FDA-approved and produce comparable weight loss in clinical trials. The pen is once-weekly and requires refrigeration. The pill is once-daily, room-temperature stable, and ideal for travel, but requires a 30-minute wait before eating with no more than 4oz of water. Your provider will help you choose at your consultation.
