Energetic confident male patient after testosterone replacement therapy at Tactus Health

Testosterone Replacement Therapy. Reclaim Your Energy, Strength & Drive.

Provider-supervised TRT for men with clinically low testosterone. Real labs, real dosing, real results, all delivered by our licensed providers, built around your biology.

The Science

Low T Is a Medical Condition, Not a Character Flaw

Testosterone peaks in early adulthood and declines roughly 1-2% per year after 30. By 40, many men have testosterone levels that are technically “normal” by outdated reference ranges, but still low enough to cause real, measurable symptoms.

Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) is a clinician-supervised protocol that restores testosterone to an optimal range using prescription medications tailored to your specific labs and symptoms. It’s not a shortcut. It’s evidence-based medicine for a hormonal deficiency.

At Tactus Health, every TRT patient starts with a comprehensive blood panel. Our medical team reviews total testosterone, free testosterone, estradiol, and metabolic markers before prescribing a single milligram. The dosing protocol is yours alone, not a template.

Testosterone Reference Ranges
Optimal (symptom-free)600-900 ng/dL
Low-Normal (symptoms possible)300-499 ng/dL
Clinically Low (treatment indicated)< 300 ng/dL
Free Testosterone (bioavailable)9-30 pg/mL
Estradiol (E2) target on TRT20-40 pg/mL

Diagnosis requires two tests and clinical evaluation. Reference ranges based on peer-reviewed guidelines.

First Responders

Police, firefighters, paramedics, and veterans face disproportionate hormone disruption from cortisol elevation, shift work, and chronic sleep deprivation, all primary drivers of low T.

The “Normal” Trap

Your Doctor Said “You’re Normal.”
You Still Feel Terrible.

The reference range spans 300 to 900 ng/dL. A 35-year-old with 310 ng/dL is technically “normal,” while having the testosterone of an 80-year-old. We don’t treat the lab slip. We treat you. If your levels fall below your personal optimal and you’re experiencing real symptoms, that is a clinical problem worth addressing.

“Normal is a population statistic. Optimal is a personal target. If you’re 35 and your testosterone looks like it belongs to someone 50 years older, that’s not something to accept. That’s something to fix.”

It’s Not Just Getting Older

Signs Your Testosterone May Be Low

These symptoms are often dismissed as normal aging, but they’re not always. Low T is a documented medical condition, and it responds to the right treatment.

Chronic Fatigue
Exhausted despite adequate sleep. No reserve energy beyond the basics.
Brain Fog
Difficulty concentrating, poor memory, inability to stay sharp.
Low Libido
Diminished sex drive, reduced interest in intimacy, difficulty maintaining arousal.
Muscle Loss
Difficulty building or maintaining muscle even with consistent training.
Mood Changes
Increased irritability, depression, anxiety, or emotional flatness without clear cause.
Weight Gain
Unexplained fat accumulation, especially belly fat, despite no lifestyle changes.
Poor Sleep
Difficulty falling or staying asleep, disrupted cycles, waking unrefreshed.
Low Bone Density
Increased fracture risk. Testosterone plays a direct role in bone mass maintenance.
Eligibility

Are You a Candidate for TRT?

TRT requires confirmed lab findings and clinical symptoms. Your provider will review everything during your free consultation.

You May Qualify If
  • Two blood tests confirming total testosterone below 300 ng/dL
  • Experiencing 3 or more symptoms of low T
  • Age 18 or older
  • Normal PSA and prostate screening (if 40+)
  • Committed to ongoing monitoring and follow-up labs
May Not Be Right If
  • Active prostate or breast cancer
  • Untreated severe sleep apnea
  • Polycythemia (elevated hematocrit)
  • Actively trying to conceive without fertility support

Not sure? Your provider will review your full health history and recommend the right protocol, including fertility-preserving options where appropriate.

Planning to Conceive?

Standard TRT can suppress fertility. If you’re trying to conceive or want to preserve future fertility, we offer HCG and Enclomiphene protocols that raise testosterone while maintaining testicular function and sperm production. Ask your provider during your consultation.

Labs We Require and Why

TRT without proper monitoring is where problems happen. Our protocol is built around safety first, not just symptom relief.

Before Starting TRT

Baseline Panel Required

  • Total Testosterone: primary diagnostic marker (two tests required)
  • Free Testosterone: bioavailable fraction, more clinically meaningful
  • Estradiol (E2): baseline for estrogen balance on TRT
  • CBC: hematocrit baseline (TRT can increase red blood cell count)
  • PSA (if age 40+): prostate screening before therapy
  • CMP: kidney and liver function baseline
Ongoing Monitoring

Follow-Up Labs Every 3-6 Months

Once stable, regular labs protect your long-term health and allow your provider to fine-tune your protocol as needed.

  • Testosterone levels: confirm therapeutic range
  • Hematocrit: monitor for polycythemia risk
  • Estradiol: adjust therapy when needed
  • Labs at Quest or Labcorp, find your location
We Don’t Just Manage Testosterone. We Manage Your Full Profile.
Estradiol (E2) Management
TRT increases testosterone, and some of that naturally converts to estrogen. When estradiol rises too high, it can affect mood, energy, and fluid balance. We monitor your levels at every follow-up and adjust your protocol when needed.
Hematocrit Monitoring
TRT also stimulates red blood cell production. In some cases, this can increase blood thickness (polycythemia), which requires monitoring. We check your CBC regularly and adjust your care plan to maintain safe levels.
Comprehensive Testing

30+ Biomarkers. One Complete Picture.

Your protocol is built from a full view of your health, not a single number. Our panel covers hormones, metabolism, blood health, and organ function so your provider can dial in care that fits your biology.

TRT + GLP-1: Breaking the Hormonal Cycle

Low testosterone and excess body fat are a two-way problem. Treating one without the other leaves the cycle intact.

The Low T & Fat Cycle
1
Low testosterone makes it difficult to build muscle and burn fat efficiently.
2
Excess visceral fat contains aromatase, an enzyme that converts testosterone into estrogen.
3
More estrogen, less testosterone, which makes fat loss harder and lowers T further.
4
The cycle continues until both the metabolic and hormonal issues are addressed simultaneously.

Many men discover TRT works significantly better when combined with a GLP-1 weight loss program. As body fat decreases, aromatase activity drops, meaning your testosterone protocol becomes more effective and may require less medication over time.

At Tactus Health, our medical team manages both TRT and GLP-1 weight loss in a single integrated protocol. One clinical partner who sees the complete picture.

“Low testosterone affects every dimension of a man’s life: energy, relationships, self-image, performance. Our approach addresses the whole picture, not just the number on a lab report.”

Dr. Ashar serves as Medical Director and Co-Founder of Tactus Health, setting the clinical protocols our licensed providers follow for every TRT patient. Her dual board certification in family medicine (FNP-C) and psychiatric mental health (PMHNP-BC) shapes how the Tactus Health team approaches hormone care: the ability to recognize when symptoms are hormonal, when they’re psychological, and when they’re both.

Patients can opt for in-person consultations at our Sugar Hill, GA clinic or telehealth visits, with either format supporting the complete TRT program including labs, prescription, titration management, side effect support, and quarterly follow-up.

Questions

TRT Questions Answered

How do I know if I have low testosterone?

The only reliable way to confirm low testosterone is a blood test measuring total and free testosterone levels. Symptoms like fatigue, low libido, brain fog, and muscle loss are strong indicators, but clinical guidelines require two separate blood tests confirming testosterone below 300 ng/dL before prescribing TRT. Book a free consultation to discuss symptoms and order labs.

Will TRT affect my fertility? What about HCG or Enclomiphene?

Yes, standard TRT suppresses sperm production and can significantly affect fertility. If you’re planning to conceive or want to preserve fertility, discuss this with your provider. We offer HCG and Enclomiphene (Clomid) protocols that raise testosterone levels while maintaining testicular function and sperm production. These are entirely compatible with an active TRT protocol.

What about side effects like gynecomastia or thick blood?

These are real concerns that TRT mills often ignore. Gynecomastia (breast tissue growth) happens when estradiol (E2) gets too high, which is why we monitor your E2 at every follow-up and prescribe Anastrozole (Arimidex) when needed. Polycythemia (thick blood) happens when hematocrit rises too high, which is why we monitor your CBC every quarter. Both are preventable with proactive lab management. We catch it in the labs before you notice it.

Is TRT safe long-term?

TRT has been studied for decades. When properly managed with regular monitoring of hematocrit, PSA, and estradiol, it is safe for the vast majority of men. The key is ongoing clinical supervision and dose management, which is exactly why our protocol requires quarterly follow-up labs. Unsupervised or improperly dosed TRT carries real risks. Supervised TRT does not.

What’s the difference between injections and gels?

Injections (weekly testosterone cypionate) offer the highest dose flexibility and are the most affordable option. Gels and creams (applied daily) provide stable levels without needles, good for needle-averse patients. Both are available via telehealth with medication shipped to your door, or in-person at our Sugar Hill, GA clinic.

Is TRT available outside Georgia?

TRT at Tactus Health is currently available to Georgia residents only, both in-person at our Sugar Hill clinic and via telehealth across the state. We are not licensed to provide TRT in other states at this time.

How long until I see results?

Most patients notice energy, mood, and mental clarity improvements within 3-6 weeks. Libido improvements typically follow in weeks 3-8. Body composition changes become visible in months 2-4, particularly with resistance training. Full stabilization generally occurs between months 4-6.

Important Safety Information

Testosterone therapy is contraindicated in men with known or suspected prostate cancer, breast cancer, or untreated severe sleep apnea. TRT suppresses sperm production and may affect fertility; discuss HCG or Enclomiphene alternatives with your provider if fertility preservation is a concern. Regular monitoring of hematocrit, PSA, and estradiol is required. TRT is a prescription medication; never use testosterone without medical supervision. Individual results vary.
