Who This Is For

Travelers who need documented lab work

Many foreign embassies, international employers, missionary organizations, and travel medicine programs require specific lab results before departure. Our clinical team orders exactly what your situation requires.

🏪

Visa & Immigration Physicals

Many countries require HIV, syphilis, hepatitis, and TB screening as part of long-term visa or residency applications. Our panel covers the most commonly required tests.

Missionary & Volunteer Travel

Religious mission boards and international volunteer organizations typically require immunity titers, baseline labs, and TB screening before deployment, especially to high-risk regions.

💼

Expat & International Work

Multinational employers conducting overseas assignments often require pre-deployment medical clearance, including comprehensive lab screening for tropical region postings.

🎥

Healthcare Workers Abroad

Medical, dental, and nursing professionals working internationally must document immunity to hepatitis B, current TB status, and other occupational exposure baselines.

🏔

Adventure & High-Risk Travel

Travelers heading to Sub-Saharan Africa, Southeast Asia, the Amazon basin, or rural high-altitude regions benefit from baseline labs and immunity verification before exposure.

🌲

Pre-Adoption & Family Travel

International adoption agencies and pre-adoption travel programs often require specific lab documentation. Our clinical team customizes panels for adoption-related travel requirements.

Questions

Before you book your call

How far in advance should I order pre-travel labs?+
As early as your travel dates are confirmed. The full timeline from booking to receiving results varies by destination, panel complexity, and the lab location you choose, but earlier booking always gives us more flexibility to handle follow-up testing if any results require it. For visa applications and employer medicals with hard deadlines, contact us as soon as you have your itinerary so we can plan around your specific submission date.
Is the initial consultation really free?+
Yes. The 15-minute telehealth consultation with our clinical team is free and has no obligation. We will review your destination and requirements, and recommend the appropriate panel. You only pay if you decide to proceed with the lab order.
Can you order panels not listed on this page?+
Yes. The $179 standard panel covers the most commonly required tests, but our clinical team can order additional titers (yellow fever, MMR, varicella, typhoid), parasite screens, malaria-related labs, altitude-specific baseline tests, or any other clinically appropriate marker. Custom panels are priced based on the specific tests ordered.
Do you provide vaccines or just lab work?+
Tactus provides lab testing only. If your test results show you need a booster or new vaccination, we will give you a list of resources including travel medicine clinics, your local county health department, and pharmacy-administered travel vaccines. Many vaccines can be administered at CVS or Walgreens travel clinics.
Will my results be accepted by my employer or visa application?+
Results from LabCorp and Quest Diagnostics are clinically validated and accepted by virtually all international employers, visa authorities, missionary organizations, and travel medicine programs. Your requisition is signed by a licensed clinician, which is what these organizations require.
Is this available in all states?+
Lab ordering is available nationwide. Use our Find a lab location near you tool to locate a convenient testing center. Telehealth consultations are available in eligible states. Confirm availability with our team when booking your consultation.
Can I use HSA or FSA funds for pre-travel labs?+
Yes, in most cases. Pre-travel medical screening is generally considered a qualified medical expense under HSA and FSA plans, especially when ordered by a clinician. Confirm specific eligibility with your plan administrator.
What if my results come back abnormal?+
If your results indicate any clinical findings that need follow-up, our clinical team will reach out to discuss next steps before you travel. This may include additional testing, vaccination recommendations, or a referral to a travel medicine specialist for region-specific protocols.
