RF Microneedling in Sugar Hill: Two Technologies. Real Structural Results.

Most aesthetic treatments work on the surface. RF microneedling works two layers deep at the same time. Microneedles create controlled micro-injuries that trigger collagen production, while radiofrequency energy delivered through those same channels generates heat in the dermis, causing immediate tissue contraction and ongoing structural remodeling. The result is visibly tighter skin, smaller pores, smoother texture, and meaningful improvement in fine lines: skin tightening that builds from within. Expect one to two days of redness, then progressive improvement for up to six months.

How It Works

How RF Microneedling Works: The Science Behind Firmer Skin

Tiny medical-grade needles create controlled microchannels in the skin, triggering collagen and elastin production. At the same time, radiofrequency energy reaches deep into the dermis, generating heat that tightens tissue and accelerates collagen remodeling.

This dual-action approach improves texture, firmness, fine lines, acne scars, and overall skin quality more effectively than traditional microneedling alone. Because RF energy is delivered below the skin’s surface, it is safe for all skin tones with minimal risk of pigmentation changes.

At Tactus Health, At Tactus Health, every session uses medical-grade technology calibrated to your skin type and concern.

What It Treats

Skin Concerns RF Microneedling Addresses

Most effective for structural concerns: skin laxity, texture, fine lines, and acne scar treatment. Your provider confirms your concern is the right fit at your free consultation.

Skin Laxity
Mild to moderate loosening on the face, jaw, and neck. RF heat causes immediate contraction and ongoing tightening as collagen rebuilds over months.
Fine Lines and Wrinkles
Surface lines and early wrinkles respond well to the collagen induction effect, particularly around the eyes, mouth, and forehead.
Acne Scarring
One of the most effective non-surgical options for atrophic acne scars. Multiple sessions are typically needed for significant improvement.
Enlarged Pores
Collagen remodeling around pore openings visibly reduces their appearance, especially on the nose and cheeks.
Skin Texture
Rough, uneven, or crepey texture improves as the dermal matrix remodels in the weeks following treatment.
Stretch Marks
On the abdomen, thighs, and upper arms. RF energy remodels the collagen disruption underlying the mark. Early pink or red marks respond better than older silver marks, though both show improvement. Body protocols use different depth and energy settings than facial treatment.

Why Equipment Matters

Medical-Grade Means the Energy Gets Where It Needs to Go.

Consumer-grade devices deliver lower energy at inconsistent depths. Medical-grade devices deliver controlled RF energy at precise, validated depths with impedance feedback for each skin concern.

At Tactus Health, every RF microneedling session uses the Pixel8 system, a medical-grade device calibrated to your skin type and concern at each session. The difference is not cosmetic. It is the difference between genuine collagen remodeling and a comfortable session with marginal results.

Treatment Plan

What a Series Looks Like

Pixel8 RF microneedling is cumulative. Each session builds on the last, and collagen continues remodeling for months after your final treatment.

1
Session One
Numbing cream applied beforehand. Skin treated across the full face or target zone. Expect 1 to 2 days of redness and mild swelling. Pores begin to refine within 2 to 3 weeks.
2
Session Two (4–6 wks later)
Collagen from session one is still building. The second treatment amplifies the stimulus. Texture and tightness are noticeably improved. Most patients see clear progress by this point.
3
Session Three (4–6 wks later)
The third session consolidates and deepens results. Full collagen remodeling completes over the following 3 to 4 months, with best results at month 4 to 6 post-series.

Treatments That Pair Well with RF Microneedling

PRP Facial
PRP applied during or after RF microneedling saturates the micro-channels with growth factors, amplifying the collagen response and accelerating healing.
Botox
Botox relaxes dynamic muscles that cause wrinkles. RF microneedling improves skin quality and tightening. Together they address both movement-based and structural aging.
VI Peel
Chemical peels address surface tone and pigmentation. Often sequenced before or after a microneedling series to cover both surface and structural concerns.
LED Light Therapy
LED after RF microneedling reduces post-treatment redness and supports the healing response. Red and near-infrared wavelengths enhance the collagen process already triggered.

Questions

RF Microneedling FAQ

Is RF microneedling painful?

Topical numbing cream is applied 30 minutes before treatment, which significantly reduces discomfort. Most patients describe a warm, prickly sensation during the procedure, not sharp pain. Sensitive areas like the nose and upper lip are more noticeable. Overall, discomfort is manageable and brief.

How much downtime should I expect?

Redness and mild swelling for 24 to 48 hours is typical, similar in appearance to a moderate sunburn. Most patients are comfortable going out after 1 to 2 days. Avoid direct sun, active skincare ingredients (retinol, AHAs, BHAs), and intense exercise for 48 to 72 hours post-treatment. Makeup can usually be applied after 24 hours.

When will I see results?

Collagen remodeling is gradual rather than immediate. Changes develop over roughly 4 to 6 weeks after a session, and the process continues for 3 to 6 months after a series is completed. How much changes varies with skin condition, age and protocol, which is why progress is assessed at each session rather than judged from a single appointment.

Do you treat darker skin tones?

We treat all Fitzpatrick skin types, including deeper tones. RF energy targets water in the tissue rather than melanin, so it does not depend on skin color.

Can I combine RF microneedling with Botox?

Yes, and they complement each other well. Botox relaxes the muscles causing dynamic wrinkles. RF microneedling improves skin quality, texture, and tightening. They address different layers and different mechanisms. Space them at least 2 weeks apart. Your care team will coordinate your treatment plan if you are interested in both.

Is RF microneedling the same as regular microneedling?

No. Standard microneedling creates micro-injuries to trigger collagen production. RF microneedling delivers radiofrequency energy through those same channels into the dermis, adding a thermal stimulus that mechanical microneedling alone does not deliver. Which of the two suits your concern is decided at your consultation.

Can body areas be treated, not just the face?

Yes. Your provider can treat the face and neck in a single session with protocol calibrated to each area. Abdomen, thighs, and arms can also be treated, for stretch marks and for skin laxity following significant weight loss or pregnancy. Body protocols use different depth and energy settings than facial treatment. Body sessions vary with the area treated, and pricing is discussed at your consultation.
