Microneedling for First-Timers
Microneedling is not a laser and not a peel. It uses very fine needles to create tiny channels, and your skin answers by making new collagen.
There are two options here, SkinPen and Pixel8 RF, and the consultation decides between them. Our microneedling overview is a good place to read first.

Common First Concerns
First-timers usually come in with one of these.
- Texture skin that does not feel smooth
- Pores openings that seem larger than they used to

- Fine lines early creases around the eyes
When to wait or ask first
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- An active skin infection, inflammation or open lesions in the area

- A history of keloid scarring
- A pacemaker or implanted electrical device near the area (Pixel8 RF)

Your skin builds new collagen slowly, over weeks, so microneedling is usually planned as three sessions, 4 to 6 weeks apart. At your free consultation, our team will suggest how many sessions suit your skin. Results vary from person to person.
Add PRP to either treatment for $300 a session.
What to Expect the First Time
-
Meet the team
Bring your questions and a list of your products. You hear which option fits and the total before anything is booked.
-
Numbing, then treatment
Numbing cream goes on for 30 minutes. Then the depth, and for Pixel8 RF the energy, is set for your skin.
-
Finishing the series
Collagen keeps building after your last session, so the full picture takes weeks to show. We look at it with you then.
First-Timer Questions
Is a dermaroller at home the same thing?
No. A clinic session uses a sterile, single-use needle cartridge with the depth chosen for your concern, and Pixel8 RF adds radiofrequency heat that no home roller has.
Will microneedling be uncomfortable?
A numbing cream sits on your skin for 30 minutes first. SkinPen tends to feel like pressure with a buzzing vibration, and Pixel8 RF like warmth with pressure. Your comfort is checked as you go.
When will I notice a difference?
Collagen keeps rebuilding for weeks after each session, so change is gradual. Some people see a difference after one visit, while acne scars and loose skin usually need the full course.
Can I have microneedling while pregnant?
No. Neither SkinPen nor Pixel8 RF is offered during pregnancy or breastfeeding. You are welcome to book a consultation for afterward.
